1. Who We Are

Stacking Gains ("we," "us," or "our") is a macro and nutrition tracking application available on iOS. You can reach us at support@stackinggains.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Stacking Gains:

• Account information: Your name and email address when you register. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only what Apple shares with us (which may be a private relay email address).
• Food log data: The meals, macros, calories, and nutritional information you log in the app.
• Preset data: Food presets you create and save.
• Macro targets: Your calorie and macro goals.
• Activity data: Any activity or calorie burn information you log manually.
• Photos: If you use the photo estimation feature, images are processed transiently for AI estimation and are not stored by us.
• Usage data: Basic analytics about how you use the app (screens visited, features used) to help us improve the product.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Stacking Gains app
• Process your food log entries and generate AI-powered macro estimates
• Sync your data across sessions and devices
• Send transactional emails (password resets, account notifications)
• Improve the app based on usage patterns
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. AI Features

Stacking Gains uses AI to estimate macros from text descriptions and photos. When you use these features, your input (text or image) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate a nutritional estimate. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy. We do not store photos after processing.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Stacking Gains:

• Supabase — database and data storage
• Railway — backend API hosting
• Anthropic — AI-powered macro estimation
• Open Food Facts — barcode product names and nutrition data, used under the Open Database License
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• PostHog — product analytics and performance information
• Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We take reasonable measures to protect your information but no system is completely secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, the account and associated app data — including food logs, presets, targets, and account information — are immediately and permanently deleted from our production database.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available directly in the app under Settings)
• Export your data upon request

9. Children's Privacy

Stacking Gains is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we may notify you via email or in-app notification.
